Cedric Todd - Assistant Director of Bands & Professor of Music
Cedric Todd is the Assistant Director of Bands at Southern University and A&M College. Native of Mobile, AL, Mr. Todd is a devoted husband and father to 4 children. After graduating from John L. Leflore High School in Mobile, Todd enrolled at Southern University where he obtained a bachelors degree in Music Education. While at Southern, Todd marched in the Southern University Human Jukebox for 4 years and achieved the designation of Trombone Section Leader during the 2008-2009 season. After graduation, Todd began his educational career at Clinton High School in East Feliciana Parish, LA where he served as Director of Bands for 5 years earning numerous of awards (marching and concert festivals). Todd later went on to become Director of Bands for Northeast High School in Pride, LA where he would build a comprehensive band program. During his time at Northeast, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern University. Todd’s passion for music is his drive to see students become more successful in their respective crafts, while thriving and excelling throughout life. One message he always instill in students, is to be better than your yesterday because no matter what, you cannot control your past and you do not know what tomorrow may hold, so take care of your present.
