An opportunity to witness the Southern University Marching Band is an opportunity to witness music in motion. This band has raised the bar and set precedents for other collegiate marching bands and ensembles. OFTEN IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED, the band prides itself on the unique ability to execute precision drills better than any other marching ensemble in the country.
Dancing Dolls
For more than 40 Years, The Southern University Fabulous Dancing Dolls have always shown the epitome of class and style! Gracie Perkins co-founded the Dolls with Dr. Greggs. The Dolls are best known for their stylish dance uniforms, graceful choreography, and beauty standards. A notable highlight in Dolls’ history is when they were invited to perform with world pop star Madonna for her live Super Bowl halftime performance in 2012. And in 2019, the Dolls were featured in Beyonce's Netflix documentary ¨HΘMΣCΘMING: A film by Beyonce.¨
