She is also the author of Building the Future: Girls in Engineering & Construction, a children’s book designed to inspire young girls to pursue careers in engineering, construction, and the skilled trades.
Returning to Southern University is more than a homecoming; it is an opportunity to invest in the next generation of Fabulous Dancing Dolls. D’Tara is committed to preserving the organization’s rich legacy while helping young women grow not only as exceptional performers but also as scholars, leaders, and professionals. She believes the lessons learned as a Dancing Doll extend far beyond performing under the stadium lights; they prepare women to lead with confidence, integrity, resilience, and purpose throughout every stage of life.
D’Tara is honored to serve alongside Director of Bands Dr. Kedric Taylor and the Human Jukebox and Fabulous Dancing Dolls leadership as they continue building upon one of the most respected and enduring traditions in collegiate band and dance.
